Automatic Pool Covers
We supply and install automatic pool covers across the Algarve, working exclusively with PS Cover, a Spanish manufacturer with 40 years of experience. Every PS Cover cover is NF P90-308 certified, the most stringent standard in Europe for pool cover safety and quality.
A well-specified cover holds heat in the water overnight, reduces evaporation by up to 90% and adds a safety barrier when the pool is unattended. The range spans above-ground TERRA covers, including a fully solar-powered model, and four submerged PACIFIC systems for pools where the cover needs to disappear completely when open.
Salt Chlorinators
We have supplied and installed salt chlorinators in the Algarve since 2008, working with Sugar Valley, a Spanish manufacturer whose systems have proved reliable across hundreds of installations in the region. Salt electrolysis converts dissolved salt into natural chlorine, so the water is treated continuously without hand-dosing.
The water itself feels different. Salt levels sit close to those of human tissue, around 4,000 parts per million against sea water's 35,000, so the water is softer on the skin and free of the sharp chlorine smell associated with public pools.
Child Safety Fences
We have supplied and installed child safety fences since 2008, working with Piscine Sécurité Enfants, a French manufacturer specialising in removable pool safety systems. The fence uses Textilene mesh tensioned between reinforced aluminium posts, with no horizontal bars for a child to gain a foothold on, and latches an adult can open without tools but a child cannot operate. The system meets the French safety standard NF P 90-306.
The fence is modular and fits any pool shape, and our own team installs it in a single visit.
Pool Heat Pumps
We have installed Polytropic heat pumps in the Algarve since 2008. Polytropic is a French manufacturer with over 20 years of dedicated production and now the largest seller of pool heat pumps in Europe. Every unit runs on full inverter technology, with PolyConnect for monitoring and control by smartphone.
Three models cover everything from a small courtyard pool to a large hotel installation, and we size each one individually using Polytropic's sizing software rather than a rule of thumb.

Just Pools Algarve was established in 2008 by David and Lorraine, and the business is still run by them today. Eighteen years of fitting equipment in Algarve conditions has shaped which brands we choose to work with and how we install them.
We install everything ourselves rather than subcontract the work, and every product on this page comes from a manufacturer we have represented for years, not a supplier found for one job. Our regular service area runs from central Algarve to Vila Real de Santo António and Sagres, with installations and repairs as far as Lisbon and Ayamonte, Spain.
